Lately, I’ve noticed a parallel between celebrity life and the life of the common folk during the lockdown. Being a celebrity comes with great advantages but there is also a downside to it. Like any common person, we want to be able to go out whenever we want and mingle with people, without getting stared at, or being recognized. While it feels wonderful to be a public figure, unsolicited attention can sometimes get on your nerves. We have stalkers, paparazzi following us wherever we go. When we do go out to shop and are recognized as celebrities, people often quote a higher amount for the product we are buying. This is not the case always, we even receive exciting gifts sometimes. There have been times where I have disguised myself just to enjoy a little privacy.
Welcome to the club. HAHA! We are all in the same boat now. Everybody is forced to stay home and barred from mingling with people outside. Prices have gone up significantly due to limited supplies. If you go out, Policemen will track you down wherever you are, and onlookers have become the new paparazzi. 🤣🤣
On a serious note, Today being the world health day, I urge all of you to stay home and respect the hard work of all the heroes (policemen and healthcare workers) risking their lives and leaving no stone unturned to keep COVID-19 at bay. Let us stand in solidarity with them and we shall overcome this together. 💪
