I love reading books! I’m sure you all have read at least one book that makes you experience different kinds of emotions. Initially, I used to read love stories written by Indian authors. I used to feel so emotionally connected to books. Books are left to your imagination; Anybody who reads books, imagines a scenario playing in your head; Different people imagine different scenarios. The way the author depicted the characters made me feel like the characters existed, I would feel whatever the character was feeling. Every time a book had a tragic ending, I used to feel so distressed that I would start weeping. My mother used to find it amusing. She found me crying over a book so cute that she couldn’t help but laugh. My mother is a voracious reader; She loves books! She has read over thousands of novels, of all kinds, she is extremely knowledgeable! I remember her consoling me after laughing at me; she’d tell me, ‘Read books to gain knowledge and for some, you can visualize and enjoy the experience but don’t take it to your head.
I recall reading ‘I too Had a love story’, a novel by Ravinder Singh; I was so worried after reading the novel, that I just had to mail him! Haha! I sent him a mail, letting him know how much I enjoyed reading his books and enquired about the characters, eager to find out if they were real and what happened to them. I never got a response, which doesn’t surprise me because I was very young when I had mailed him. Now when I think about it, I laugh about how innocent I was! Haha! I used to take everything to heart! I still do! uhh🤦♀️
