I recall shooting for my Malayalam movie called ‘Thiruvambadi Thamban’ in Kerala. I was so eager to explore the place! The shoot was so well planned! They would also let me know the specific timings and duration of my break. So, I could go and explore the place if I wanted.
I wanted to visit the Guruvayur temple. I was told that the temple closes by 1:30 pm, so my mom and I quickly rushed to the temple. As it was a temple, I had worn an ankle-length kurta. When we reached the temple by 1:05 pm, my PR informed me that I won’t be allowed in the temple as my leggings were skin-tight. So, I quickly tried to buy loose pants in the stores close by, but none of the stores had any! They only had sarees and blouses for women. So, we decided to buy a saree and quickly changed into them. We barely made it in on time! I loved the temple! The atmosphere was so peaceful and relaxing. It felt so pleasant! I later realized that I was wearing a beautiful saree that had Lord Krishna and Radha’s print on it.
We even visited the elephant sanctuary. There were more than 100 elephants! They were so used to the people that they posed with us for every picture and even splashed water on us, haha! They were so cute!
I remember telling the director and team about what I had been doing during my break, and how much fun I had. So, they started to tease me saying how they usually offer food to Lord Krishna around 1 pm (naivedyam) and how he made his devotee dress the way he wanted and enjoyed his Naivedyam. Krishna krishna! Good people, Great memories!❤
