Pets always bring a smile on my face, they are so pure hearted. I have always had a pet while growing up in my hometown chickballapur , whether it was birds, fish, dogs or rabbits. After we shifted to bangalore, due to a busy lifestyle, I missed having a pet. However, I had always dreamt of getting two puppies, in fact I had named them Happy and Lucky in my dreams, as I wanted cute and positive names for them. Now, for those who have read ‘They Still Rag Me..!’, an article about my adorable rabbits, may remember that my mother had promised me a puppy. And well, my mom never lets me down. It was finally the day to get Lucky home! ❤
We had approached a family friend for a puppy. He sent us a few pictures, one of them being a picture of a golden retriever. I fell in love with him instantly. He was so cute and chubby! I was so excited to bring him home! Before we got him home, I decided to get him checked by a vet to see if he was healthy. When we checked his certificate, we found out that his father was a show breed and won many gold medals. He was a very healthy puppy. Like a father like son. So I thought of training him and making him participate in shows. When I got him home, I couldn’t get enough of him! He slept most of the time as he was just a little puppy. I used to enjoy watching him and touching those tiny paws. Next day, I got a lot of toys, snacks, brush, paste, a bed and a biting bone because he had started teething.
Later, I had to go away for a while to shoot. I would be shuttling in between cities for several movies. I did not want to leave him, but I had to. This was work, and I could not miss it. My brother used to take care of him when I wasn’t around. He used to tell me how much my baby used to miss me. Meanwhile, we thought it was time for him to train, so we had to leave him in the training center for a month! I made sure I was there to drop him off. I was so emotional. I just wanted to hug him and not let go!
After we left him there, I cried even though I was going to meet him in a month. But even that is a long time! We would call to check on him every day! He was making me so proud, he was swimming, listening to commands and of all the good things I got to hear from them. My good boy. ❤
It was finally time to get him home. The coaching centre was preparing me and my family and telling us that, ‘we may have missed him a lot, but it might not be the same with him. He had been busy training with his friends. He might not even recognize all of you. I just don’t want you all to get your hopes up.’ I felt very bad because I had imagined him running up to me and jumping with joy! When we finally reached there, we saw him attend his last session. He was a little far. He turned and sniffed the air. He suddenly darted towards me, ignoring the commands of the trainer! But I did not expect him to recognize me after what I had been told. He jumped happily, started circling us, licked our hands and face, and ran towards the car, and started jumping at the door. Almost felt like he was saying, ‘Take Me Home Already!’, Haha!
I was so so happy! He still remembered me even after a month!Look at the picture of how grown up he is, he’s almost reaching the roof! I felt like a proud mom! I love you Lucky! ❤

(I will talk about getting my second dream, Happy home in the next article)
