Siblings are always partners in crime. My brother and I were very naughty as children. But, if we got caught doing something, I used to take advantage of the fact that I was younger and would put the blame on my brother to get out of it. But, to be fair, he was more mischievous than I was and used to rope me in with whatever he was doing.
For instance, he used to take care of a white mouse. He made a bed out of cotton and fed him. I was the only one who knew about it. So, I used to blackmail him with it every time he tried to blame me for something. He also used to collect fireflies in a box. He would make holes in the box and feed them on time. They used to stink! We were kids at that time, so we didn’t realize that we were torturing by putting them in the box. We thought we were taking care of them. I used to assist him in these kinds of activities sometimes.
We had given a house for rent. My brother told me that he wanted to show me something. There used to be a chimney, so he took me up there, made me stand beside him, and would start throwing the collected pebbles. There used to be vessels at the end of the chimney. He used to make me listen to the sound that used to come from it. We don’t know if the tenants found out about it. They must have assumed that the stones came along with the rice grains. 🙈 They never complained. 😛
This is the perfect example of how movies influence kids. Once, my parents had gone out. My brother, as usual, got an idea from watching the film. He dragged me to the tenant’s house, who to our luck had gone out too. The door was locked. So, he asked me if I had a pin. My mom had pinned my hair, so I took it out and gave it to him. He started to pick the lock with my hairpin. 🙈 He wanted to try it just like in the movie to see if it worked. The lock suddenly opened.😮 We did not think it was going to, so we got scared, threw the pin and the lock, and ran home. We continued to act as if nothing happened. My parents, to this day, still don’t know about it. 😂 The tenant’s also surprisingly didn’t complain. They must have assumed that they had forgotten to lock the house because nothing was lost.
I’m sure everyone with siblings can relate to this. Now tell me your stories.❤️
