We usually play pranks on the people who are dear to us. I want to tell you guys about a prank I decided to play on my fans! It’s the perfect example of ‘Prank gone wrong’! Haha! I recall having a shoot taking place in a beautiful temple in Mysore. I was shooting alongside Vijay Raghavendra. We were shooting a wedding scene, where I was playing the bride, while he played the groom, so naturally, we were all decked up. I suddenly decided that I wanted to prank all my fans! So I requested my staff to click a few snapshots of the scene while it played out. In those pictures, I cropped the actor a little, but enough for people to recognize him. I tried posting the pictures but due to a poor network, it was difficult to do so. Somehow I posted the pictures and gave the caption as ‘I just got married in a temple in Mysore! I need all your blessings’! Haha!
It was a little late by the time we wrapped up the shoot and reached the hotel. When I checked my phone, I was surprised to see so many messages and missed calls! I switched on the television only to see pictures of my ‘wedding’ all over the news! I called Vijay Raghavendra, only to find out that he too had a lot of messages and missed calls! The best part of it all was that he was a happily married gentleman with a cute kid, which made it easier to clear the air (The prank went beyond our control)! My mother was furious about the blunder that I had made! A hug and a sorry mumma was all it took to calm her down! Yeah I know, it was a mess! 🙈Now when I think about it, It makes me laugh! But this incident taught me one thing. If I ever decide to play a prank, I’ll make sure that there is a good network, Haha! so that I can clarify it at that moment. So that it does not turn out to be a mess like this one was!
