We, women, are very good at multitasking. We are used to managing a lot of things at the same time. I recall reading film magazines during my initial days about celebrities and I used to wonder how they could shoot for multiple films at the same time. But after I got into the industry I, myself had been working on two or more movies at the same time. But, juggling between two movies on the same day was a whole different thing. There are a few instances that I would like to share with you all.
We were shooting for Ricky in Karkala, a place an hour away from Mangalore. I used to start shooting in the morning and finish shooting by 5 pm. I was shooting for another film called Ranna in Hyderabad. So, I rushed to the airport as my flight was at 7:15 pm. As there were no direct flights to Hyderabad, I had to go to Bangalore and then take a connecting flight to Hyderabad. I had to hurry to Ramoji Film City, which was an hour and a half away from the airport. As soon as I got there, I started shooting again. It ended during the early hours of the day. Immediately, I had to travel back to Karkala in the same fashion for my shoot early in the morning. Shuttling between places, teams, and sets were quite hectic. I only got to sleep during the flights.
Another time I went through a similar experience was two years ago when I was shooting for Kanaka in Mysore and Bharjari in Bangalore. The dates of the shooting were clashing. I had to shoot a song for both the movies, so we adjusted the schedule and shot one song during the day and one during the night. I was shooting for Kanaka and would pack up by 5:30 in Mysore and reach Bangalore by 8 in the night. I would get ready immediately to rush to the shoot. I used to finish at 4 am and then rush back to Mysore again. I would rest in the hotel for an hour before getting ready and going to the shooting spot again. This continued for three long days! This isn’t a daily thing. It usually happens when the shooting dates clash. So, I had to adjust sometimes to make sure everything got done on time. In spite of being sleep deprived, it was sweet of my mom to accompany me everywhere.
No matter how tired or busy I was, I did not want the team to suffer because of me. It was extremely satisfying to finish work on time as promised. I love being in front of the camera! I forget all about how tired I am and focus on my target. I want to thank my driver and staff for helping me during these times and making sure I got everywhere on time.

HAI HARI PRIYA TWO FILMS AT A TIME IN A DAY TOO HARD TO HANDLE THAT TIME BUT IN FUTURE THAT HARD WORK REMAINS MEMORABLE. IN TELUGU SUPER STAR KRISHNA GARU IN HIS TIME WORKED 3 SHIFTS PER DAY IN SHOOTINGS THAT MEANS 18 HOURS IN DAY FOR HIS CINEMA SHOOTINGS
Isn’t out of work because of Covid crisis impacting all filmstars – I hope it doesnt but i believe it would certainly after say an year of not being on camera?
