One is a failure unless and until he actually goes out and explores what he desires because until then, we do not know how easy or difficult the task is. Thoughts about failure scare us every time we venture into something new. It could either be due to a lack of self-confidence or overthinking about the consequences. This is similar to driving a car. Even though we’re familiar with the path and skilled at driving, the road we’re driving on is still unpredictable. There can be potholes and speed breakers, all of which can halt the journey. Nor do we have control over the other vehicles on the road. Anybody could come and hit the vehicle. Anything can happen anytime.
Simply put, life is unpredictable. We just need to drive in whichever direction it takes us. If there is a pothole or a speed breaker, we slow down. If there is another car, we move aside. It doesn’t matter how good of a driver you are, life is always going to throw unpredictable challenges at us and we need to be prepared to face them head-on.
Much like driving, life also needs patience, While driving, we might come across unexpected hurdles, but we must always be alert and spontaneous in making decisions, whether we need to accelerate, whether left or a right turn needs to be taken. We cannot decide what’s ahead of us. Don’t try and control the path because it’s not possible, control how you drive.
In my opinion, there is no ‘best’ driver in the world and one small accident can prove fatal even for the best of drivers but here is a chance that we would survive the accident and we need to make sure not to repeat the same mistake again. New mistakes lead to learning. Hence, we must never stop at a point in life where you think it’s difficult, keep moving and be ready to face every challenge that’s thrown at you because there’s victory ahead of fear. It’s always better to try and fail than never to try at all. Life has to go on.
