Every child loves their mother. I am no exception to that. I love my mom very much! As a child, I used to follow her around everywhere! My grandparents and my other relatives used to call me my mom’s tail ! (even today) ! Haha! My bond is very strong with my mom. If she went somewhere, I went along with her; if not, I stayed with her. I never let her go anywhere without me. Unlike my brother, who always went to our aunt or grandparent’s place during the summers, I stayed with my mom. I love my dad a lot too, but I just had to be with mom at all times! Even today, I enjoy traveling with my pretty mommy the most! ❤ This reminds me of a childhood memory.
My family and I were traveling to Bangalore to meet my grandparents. We spent a day before my dad told us that he had to go back home. We owned a bakery, so he had to travel home to sort out some business. He wanted my brother and me to go home with him, telling me that we will come back to pick my mom up after 2 days. At first, I refused because I did not want to leave my mom; I had to stay with her. But then he started bribing me with chocolates, and promised me some more !! which was a very smart move because you know how difficult it is for kids to refuse chocolates. Haha! So I agreed to go with him. My mom had no problem with it because she would be able to spend some alone time with her parents. Before we left, mom briefed dad about what time I eat, and what time I sleep, etc.
We reached the bakery at 10 in the night. I had my arms full of chocolates just as I had been promised. My dad’s employees took good care of my brother and me as we were the owner’s children. I played and laughed. Slowly the time passed, and before I knew it was 11:30. I was at my last chocolate bar when I suddenly started crying. My brother called for my dad, who came rushing towards me with a worried expression and started questioning me about what happened, why I was crying, and if I had been hurt. I exclaimed I wanted my mom as I continued crying and eating my chocolate simultaneously.

My father tried explaining to me that the driver had already gone home and it was too late at night to even catch a bus, and. As soon as my chocolate finished, I began crying louder. My dad decided he could not handle my crying and we took a lorry at 12:30 in the night and went to my grandmother’s house, which may I remind you is in a different city. 🤣

When we reached my grandmother’s house, my mom opened the door, shocked to see us there. I ran towards her and jumped in her arms, finally happy to be with her. She questioned us about what we were doing there at this time of the night. My dad immediately began narrating the story about how I started crying out of nowhere when I seemed to be laughing and playing before that. All of us ended up staying at my grandma’s house for the remainder of the vacation, including my dad 😀 Well, you know what they say, there’s no better place in the world than your mother’s arms. I love you Amma! ❤ Happy MOTHERS DAY to all the mothers out there 😀
