I’m sure you all enjoy the songs that we shoot in places like Ooty, Kashmir etc. Have you noticed how we actresses wear beautiful sarees or thin clothes to look glamorous, whereas, actors wear warm clothes with sweaters, gloves, and everything? I’ve worked in multiple films that were shot in cold places like ‘E- Sambhashane’ in Srinagar, ‘Ricky’ in Kullu Manali, ‘Thakita Thakita’ in Himachal Pradesh, and ‘Varayo Vennilave’ and ‘Thiruvadi Thamban’ in Munnar and so on. I had to wear a thin georgette or chiffon sarees, Transparent tops with shorts, etc.
With the scenery it looks beautiful on screen, no doubt, but we need to emote in that freezing weather. Especially while shooting for Ricky! I had to wear a thin saree, and on top of that, they had turned on the air blower to make my dupatta and hair fly (How sexy is it). I had been shivering the whole time (You could notice in the song)! I remember feeling so jealous of the actor’s outfit!
Last year, we shot a song in Sona marg for the movie ‘Ellidde Illi Tanaka’. So, while discussing my costumes, I even suggested a stylish outfit for the actor. 😇It was a style mostly followed abroad. I knew it looked too good to pass. He was convinced that the outfit was going to look good.( Secret- It was just as thin as mine). Why should we be the only ones suffering in the cold? 😛And guess what? My plan worked! He did not know what was coming, haha!😛
On the day of the shoot, I saw him shivering the entire time. It was a little satisfying. I at least had company this time. But regardless, he looked good and stylish too. Two birds, one stone.
